The purpose of the Air Force Network-Centric Solutions (NETCENTS) contract is to provide a primary source of networking equipment/product supply and a means of system engineering, installation, integration, operations, and maintenance for a family of Department of Defense (DoD) adopted, commercially standardized, networking solutions that are interoperable with Air Force, Joint, and DoD Standardized Networking Technical Architectures.
NETCENTS will support all DoD and U.S. Government major initiatives and programs such as the Air Force’s Global Information Grid (GIG) architecture, Defense Information System Network (DISN), Defense Switch Network (DSN), Defense Message System (DMS), Air Force System Network (AFSN) (Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet), Nonclassified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNet)), Defense Research and Engineering Network (DREN), and Combat Information Transport Systems (CITS) program.
The cost of using the NETCENTS contract is a usage Fee of 1.0% fee for all agencies.Applied by Contractor and remitted back to USAF New fee percentage applied at beginning of each FY.
The benefits of using the NETCENTS contract vehicle are:
- No requirement to synopsize orders (saves 30 days).
- Facilitates purchase of networking equipment not on GSA schedule.
- Great way to purchase capability when exact system solution not known and engineering services required Ideal contract vehicle for “turnkey” systems with O&M Streamlined online ordering for specific product and/or services.
Air Force Organizations at All Levels (MAJCOMs, Bases, and Program Offices) Program Offices are eligible to use NETCENTS including:
- Combat Information Transport System
- Air Force Systems Networking
- Ogden ALC (Voice Switch Maintenance)
- AF Communications Agency
- Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and other R&D DoD Agencies (Including Army and Navy) Federal Agencies
